Snow Days
The store will generally be closed on snow days......and by this I mean days where it's sticking to the roads, at least 2 or 3 inches down here on the flat part of Coquitlam...those days where nobody goes out.
The first couple of years I was open, I would shovel my drive and slip and slide my way to the store (I live in Port Moody, with a slope to my garage and then slope down to Ioco), open the store and have not one person come in all day! After a few times of doing this, I decided to just stay home like everyone else :-)
I do check phone messages and email two or three times a day from home, so if you have a question, call or write and I'll get back to you.
If it starts snowing during the day, I often will close early. Once I see that there is very little traffic on the Barnet, and nobody around in the parking lot, I head home.
Events in the evening when snow is either falling, or threatening to fall, will be cancelled. This is because usually all the participants call and say they're not coming.
